Holidays (Part 1)

Why my trip to HK for a week was good:
1. I haven't been for more than 2 years. And I needed the break from work.
2. I got myself a new phone (Sony Ericsson J300i and no, there's no camera. It's so unecessary. Why don't people just get a real camera??)
3. I also bought some clothes from those export shops. You can get pretty good quality clothes at dirt cheap prices over there. It makes DFO loook like David Jones. Maybe not that dramatic but you get the gist of it.
4. Anyone tried curry or tofu flavoured ice cream?
5. Quality quiet time with God =)

Why my trip to HK for a week was NOT so good:
1. The weather. How do people sleep at night when the temperature is just a shade under 30C and humidity is around 75%? Pointless having showers cos you get sweaty again 5 mins after walking out of the bathrooom.
2. Seeing your sick grandparents with terminal illness is never a good experience to have.
3. Bums and beggars. Before you say: "It's part of every society", consider this. When I went back, Hong Kong was in the midst of a 'Shopping Festival'. See the contrast? It distressed me greatly to see many beggars beggin in the vicinity of shopping arcades.
4. Qantas in-flight entertainment sucked arse.

I do not wish to ruin this post with my religious argument. I will refrain from posting that until I deem one of your posts boring and useless :)

Camera phones aren't meant for taking good pictures, as you say that's why you have a camera. I've found that it's cool to have a phone everywhere you go and be able to send people crappy little pictures of something funky really easily.
