No Prams on Escalators please

There is a sign/picture on escalators in shopping malls which says "Prams not allowed" right? So why is it that in recent days I see parents doing exactly opposite that? I reckon some young kid is gonna get hurt bad or die real soon and parents are going to have no one to blame but themselves. Not to mention the prams/strollers take up the whole width of the escalator step preventing people from getting through. Idiots!

It is hard sometimes with kids... I feel sorry for them, having to walk so much further to use other means of getting between levels. Though I am sure they have considered the safety issues.

Yeh it's quite scary...Especially when you have the pram/stroller facing 'out' going down the escalator (which was what I saw the other day that got me writing this entry)

I'm all for parents with prams on escalators, IF THEY HAVE SKILL. Blocks your path? Tough. You would want the same courtesy when you're a parent. Backwards pram is a bit silly though.

Similarly, I'm also all for leaving the toilet seat down whilst guys do their business, IF THEY HAVE SKILL (ie. if they can aim) and consent to cleaning up if they screw up. It is so much more efficient.
