just squatting, neither would surprise me.

Quiz Week: Day 1

Mander is a bad man says:
update your blog you lazy sod

WHOA! What profound words by Mark H!

What can I update about? Work has not been interesting, I haven't seen a movie in yonks (going to watch one this Wednesday night though...no, it's not Star Wars and yes, it's during State of Origin) and as for basketball...yeah, we lost again last Thursday to Balgowlah Beavers. Too lazy to write up a report.

So to keep impatient people like M Hiscocks happy, there'll be a new entry everyday this week. I'll go online, find some random quiz, do it, post the results and you guys can do the quiz too and post your results as comments. And if you catch me not blogging a quiz, then I shout you gelato. No, really.

Ok, random quiz #1: What's your personality type?

Your #1 Match: ISFJ

You have a strong need to belong, and you very loyal.
A good listener, you excell at helping others in practical ways.
In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music.

You would make a good interior designer, chef, or child psychologist.

Rainy Tuesday

Thinking about it...control, consider, consult. Oh, and pray, of course.

Had a good day at work. Everything seemed to click. Made progress in all areas of the project for the sites I'm helping out with so that was good. Maybe it had to do with the fact I got 10 hours sleep last night when I crashed to bed at 9pm but I sure felt more energised in an otherwise gloomy day. Prepared the usual milestone reports for my managers and then went on a couple of site visits in the afternoon with one of the project engineers. So basically I left the office at 1 o'clock. Good to get away from the office once in a while =)

Had Bibble study with Albert tonight. We're more than half way through Full of Promise and I think I've learnt heaps over the past month and a bit on what the Old Testament is all about.

Team Rice: That sinking feeling

We played the previously undefeated 'Alarming' and well, it was very very close...we could have won, we should have won, did we deserve to win? In the end, there had to be one winner and it wasn't us but after shooting out to a 10 point lead early on, we thought we were cruising. Then we slowly let them back and by half time, we only held a slim lead. In the second half they wore us down and we committed silly turnovers. They took the lead with about 1:30 to go and momentum was with them. We had the chance to win in the last 30 seconds but missed two free throws and a series of shots after getting offensive rebounds. When the final buzzer went, the score board read: Alarming 35 Rice 34. Oh it hurts.

Kogster's contribution: 1 point, 4 rebounds and 2 fouls. I'll be forever kicking myself for what happened in the middle of the second half though. The score was locked and a technical was called against the other team. I had 4 free throws and how many did I make? One, the last one. Arrggghhh!!!!!! I feel so !@$#@%#@@$#$%

Engineer doing accounting job

Been balancing the books for the past couple of days and it sucked. The endless squinting of numbers on the computer screen really takes you out even though you are just sitting there clicking around entering numbers...Now come to think of it, it reminds me of Big Keith from 'The Office' (UK version. US version sux arse), just sitting there, looking stoned half the time. Is that what accountants are really like? Didn't even get to go out for the lunch break yesterday. The only time I left the office was a 10min break sitting at the steps outside the building eating gelato with a friend. Thanks for the shout!

Basketball again tomorrow evening. We're playing the only undefeated team (3-0) in the comp so we'll probably get kicked badly (go the optimistic outlook!). I've also been feeling crap (tired) over the past couple of nights after work so need to somehow get myself pumped up for tomorrow evening. Tip-off at 8pm.

The many things you can do with Jaffas...

As discovered during Timothy fellowship this afternoon. You can:

1. Eat them.
2. Use chopsticks to try and carry them from one plate to another.
3. Play snooker. Place 6 guys with open mouths around a table and see who can collect the most Jaffas.
4. Shove them up your nostrils and get people to take pictures of you.
5. Shove it up one nostril and blow it out. Add a bit of a run up and you can have a game of Jaffalin (Hahaha, very corny...*ahem*).
6. Put one (or many) in a balloon, add some spit, blow the balloon up, give it a shake and then pop the balloon. So thats how they do blood scenes in movies.

Team Rice: We won

We sure did, 31-19 against 'Has Been Gladiators'. We started off pretty well and got the ball rolling early. To be honest, the game was littered with fouls so it was a bit too stop-start. The other team tried to play hard but talked too much trash. They were called for abusing the ref a few times and it got real ugly early in the second half when one guy got ejected from the game. Mate, abusing the ref won't get you anywhere...But yeh, we had a comfortable lead throughout the game and kicked ass. So after three rounds we are 5th in the 9 team comp and it looks to be a pretty even comptetiton. Only one team has a perfect record.

Kogster's contribution: 2pts on 100% FT, 3 rebounds and 1 block in roughly 20mins of game time.

Cheap lunch?

Darn! They've closed down Sushi World opposite Maccas at the Interchange (as a matter of fact, Macccas is shut down as well but who gives a toss? There are too many Maccas in the world anyway). You may say: "So what. There are plenty of other sushi stores around Chatswood." But you see...

1 sushi (and it's those big ones) ----> $1.95
3 sushis = $5.85

BUT.....

BUY TWO AND GET ONE FREE!!!

SO...3 sushis = $3.90!!! A bargain found no where else in Chatswood!!!

And now they've shut down the place because of construction works for the stupid Parramatta-Chatswood rail link. What a rort...

Must find another place where I can get cheap yet filling lunch...
