I need to do a number two...where is the nearest toilet?

(Thanks to Chris' MSN nickname)

National Public Toilet Map

Quoting from the website, "The National Public Toilet Map (the Map) shows the location of more than 14,000 public and private public toilet facilities across Australia"

So next time you are in town, you won't have to run around in sheer desperation searching for a toilet. Print out a copy of the places you most commonly go to and keep a copy in your wallet/purse. Hehe...

P-H-O-T-O-S

Just uploaded photos from my 21st on Yahoo:

http://au.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jkfkam/my_photos

Apologies to some of the qualities of the shots. I will try and learn how to take photos in dark settings later. Also, many thanks to Vincy for sending me photos taken from her camera. You can tell which ones are from her (larger in size --> better quality)

Belated presents

Whoa! Two weeks after my 21st and presents are still rolling in. I'm actually starting to feel a little bit embarassed about it all but thanks nonetheless!

1. Acoustic Guitar

Not too sure how many people from church chipped in for this but here's the chance to get those stubby fingers of mine working =)

2. "Starting Strong, Staying Strong" by David Cook

Hoi-Yan got me this book and I guess from the title you can work out what it is about. Very timely indeed! Thanks a bunch!

3. iPod

iPod? What iPod?

Mobile phone throwing

Ok, who has an old Nokia 5110 or better still, those 80s phones with long antennas? I challenge you to a game of mobile phone throwing :P

A phone's throw away (SMH)

A German has smashed the national record for the rarely contested sport of mobile phone throwing by hurling his phone 67.50 metres, the organisers of the event announced today.

In the competition yesterday in Wehnde, Thuringia, Nico Morawa beat the former record of 65.80 metres, set four years ago by Heiko Scholl.

Both men are from Kamenz in the eastern state of Saxony.

Morawa, who is also spokesman for the association of German mobile phone throwers, beat 70 competitors to win the event.

According to the association's website, the "sport" began when mobile phone manufacturers were offering cheap phones during the industry's boom years of 2000 and 2001.

When the phones broke, the Kamenz association came up with a new use for them.

Auditing

Praise God for giving me the opportunity to work this weekend! It's been 11 weeks since I last worked and with the 21st B'day party bill to pay off (to my parents), it's very timely indeed!!

Wow, Is auditing not the easiest job around? Did a shift for CFM today and all I had to do was count the number of SMH, Telegraph, Weekend Australian and Financial Review. Pretty simple huh? I spent more time driving around (Campsie, Bexley, Riverwood and Marrickville) than doing actual work! It's a 2 day job so I gotta go to all those places again tomorrow after church...

Visited Boost Juice for the first time after work and tried the Mango Magic smoothie as Russ recommended and I must say it's pretty good. I also like the idea of using styrofoam cups because drivers who can't afford cup holders in their car won't have to worry about getting that 'cold feeling' around their nether region.

Feelin Hot Hot Hot

So bloody hot today!! 38 degrees!! I even gave up catching an express bus this morning in favour of an air-conditioned one.

We have no electricity at the moment. Just finished dinner (Chinese take-away of course)and I'm typing this using my notebook. How sad/geeky is that?

Hmmm...still need to get a shower. Wonder what it's like showering in the dark??

I'm bored...I want to watch DVD on the notebook but battery is running low and you can play Win XP Games for only so long...

What a waste of a night.

Weekend of celebrations

Saturday - My 21st

Thanks to all those who came to celebrate my 'official' entry into adulthood. I had a great time and hopefully you did too unless you were the poor bastards who had to look after a very drunk Russ. Seriously Gan, how hard did you go on the wine?

I'm now the proud owner of the following:

Wireless laptop mouse
Hanging in there by John Dickson
An album by Mercy Me
Gucci Rush
16'' yard glass with holder
256MB USB flash memory
Harmonica
Empty iPod box
Bottle of Chardonnay
A watch

I'll try and get some photos up later. Had a bit of trouble with the camera and some of them didn't turn out so well :( Need to read up on how to take pics in dark places.

Sunday - Church anniversary picnic lunch + Nora's 18th

Nora's 18th was actually a surprise party but my sister and I got there late so we missed out the 'surprise' bit. Damn!

Feeling so buggered right now...Zzzzzzz

Campaign update: 3 days to go

What? Me mixing it up with politics? No way! This post is just an update on my 21st birthday bash.

Well, it is all set and ready to go. Went to the club with mum earlier tonight to finalise everything and anything that will get the night going yet it could have been so different. You see, on the invites, I put the starting time at 7pm but due to a communication breakdown between departments, I was told the room is actually not available till 8:30pm. Crap. What to do??

But God had a plan. I was offered another room albeit slightly smaller but with access to the terrace. Thank the Lord for that!! Is there anything He can't do?? To top it off, the club is going to provide a free hour of drinks due to the inconvenience caused. So come early if you want free drinks!! (not to mention a smaller bar tab for me)

Now some people have asked me what to wear. Having been to a cocktail party recently, it seems you wear something semi-formal. So maybe pants & button up shirt for guys and a dress of some sort for the ladies?

That's pretty much it for now. Just need to finalise the music list, guest list and cake. 3 days to go...

*Yawn*

I feel so...wasted :P

The most productive thing I've done so far these holidays is playing Solitaire Showdown with Gan. Anyone else want to play?
