Crocked Mick out of opener

From today's Sun-Herald:

Roosters utility forward Michael Crocker will miss the start of the season after damaging his knee.

Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan said Crocker was hurt early last week and had undergone an arthroscopy to fix the damage.

"Mick split the cartilage in his knee," Canavan said. "He won't be able to run at all for a few weeks and we expect him to miss the first round and probably the second, as well."

Crocker was hurt playing for a team in an Oztag competition, an extra risk that NRL clubs would normally frown upon only a month out from the start of the competition.

But Canavan said Crocker's injury was probably a blessing in disguise...Blah Blah Blah....

WOOHOO, our team is famous :D
