What's for dinner?

My mum has gone back to HK for the next couple of weeks and my sister is at a youth group retreat for the weekend. Just my dad and I...Hmmm...Go take-away crazy? Or not have proper meals at all? Just live on snacks. Eat whenever you need to.

update(9:20pm)-Watched Japanese Story tonight and what a sad film. Why did the Japanese guy have to die just as he and Toni Collette's character was starting to develop some sort of friendship? If I ruined the plot for those who haven't seen it, well too bad. I don't write film reviews for a living :P

Feeling kinda hungry afterwards and couldn't be bothered cooking, I went down to the local KFC and got a 2 piece feed. If the trip was any indication, then it's good to go just before they close. My 2 pieces of chicken were HUGE!! They gave me a pretty large serving of chips too :) The skin was a bit soggy but meh, I was hungry, so size mattered more than quality in this case.

And now a parking ticket...

That's roughly 3/4 of todays earnings (just as well I bludged around the office today)...Oh well, it was gonna come sooner or later, depending whether the infringment officers could be bothered walking all that way down Fullers Road. Maybe it's time to ask the company for a car space. One of my colleagues copped it as well, so that's $150 for him (twice) and he's been working for a much shorter period than me. Ouch. I'll go pay the fine at some post office tomorrow.

Officially a Wiggle

Everyone knows that I fall asleep in class. Today, I was given a company polo shirt and it's purple all over. Yep, I'm now Jeff, the asian purple Wiggle.

No ordinary Monday

The day started with alot of pacing around the room, realisation of what just happened the night before. Not long after, the Baileys came out. 1,2,3,4,5...shots. I lost count. Somehow I didn't throw up along with the contents of dinner which was good. I tried to concentrate on the ethics speech our group is presenting this Friday but it was no use. Just stared at a blank Word document. 2am (Man U Vs Liverpool 0-0. Boo.), 3am, 4am, 5am...Daybreak came and I went to bed, dehydrated and exhausted but didn't sleep for long...

Woke up at 8, called in a sickie for work and got back to work on the speech. It went better this time round and I conjured up something. Where would we be without Google or Answers.com?

Drove to uni for a 2pm group meeting which was an absolute waste of time. 2 guys still haven't got their stuff together for the trial run we wanted to do today. People, the seminar is in 4 days!!! And guys, lollies=candies=sweets.

Faculty Bible study was cancelled because our leader was at the funeral of one of his friend's baby. As I read the SMS I realised it's the same person that was mentioned in an email sent around to the EE faculty last week. Quite sad really. How do you explain babies who die shortly after being born alive?

Figuring out I wasn't gonna be listening, I skipped maths and bummed at a friend's place. I wouldn't call it bumming but rather a solid hour of meeting up between two Brothers in Christ. It was much appreciated even though you had to blow your nose every 5 mins from the sickness you got at the moment. Hope you get better soon.

I'm going into my shell...

Wake me up when September ends

Expensive Oil (Part 3)

I don't understand why the media keep using the Caltex in Lindfield Av, Lindfield when reporting how expensive fuel is these days:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
From the story 'Something funny' as petrol hits $1.48

I pass that place on the way to church and it is ALWAYS on average 10c more expensive than other outlets so you have to be pretty desperate (and I mean real desperate) to fill up there. Perhaps the media (Maybe Today Tonight/ACA and their foot-in-the-door reporting?) can run a story on WHY this particular servo is so expensive.

Expensive Oil (Part 2)

A follow up to my last post. I actually had to catch a bus to work today! The starter motor in our car died so had to get NRMA to replace it. I got to work at 12 just as everyone were heading out for their lunch breaks...

Expensive Oil

139.9c/L for unleaded petrol...what the...? CRAZY!!!

To fill up our Corolla would cost me roughly 4 hours of wages. Warmer weather can't come soon enough so I can catch a bus to work.

You know something's bothering me lately...

I may hide it from others but you can see through it all.

What is your plan???

Howie Day - Collide

My favourite song at the moment. Trying to play it on my guitar too...If only I can get the strumming, singing and the tuning right. Oh yeah, and a capo...

Howie Day - Collide
The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah

I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

I'm quiet you know
You make a first impression
I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide

Dont stop here
I lost my place
Im close behind...

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to ryhme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find
You and I collide

You finally find
You and I collide
You finally find
You and I collide
