Logitech Precision Gamepad. 20 bucks from Dick Smith Powerhouse.

Can't believe after all these years of playing PC games it is only now I own a gamepad. As you can see, the design is relatively simple, no analog sticks and no vibration feedback. But that's ok since I wouldn't call myself a 'heavy' gamer.

Reasons why I bought the gamepad:

1. Gives a whole new dimension to gaming. I used to wonder why people want to use a gamepad. What's wrong with the good old keyboard and mouse?
2. No need to hunch over a keyboard. I can now sit away from the monitor = less strain on my eyes.
3. Play 1 Vs 1 games.
4. I can afford it.

Reasons why I shouldn't have bought the gamepad:
1. What's wrong with the good old keyboard and mouse?
2. Temptation to buy/play games.
3. Temptation to play games longer.
4. $20? Spend it on something more meaningful.

And it's over for another session

Such a relief to walk out of the Scientia just after 5 today. Even with two subjects it's been a tiring session but somehow I'm still here, all in one piece (only just). Maths was ok, probably looking at credit again...same old same old. Once again, my aim of getting a distinction in even one subject per session looks remote.

So where to from here? (next 4 weeks)

Getting old...

Another day, another lower limb ailment.

Copped a few knocks on the knee in basketball last Thursday night. Didn't feel anything on Friday but started to become sore on Saturday. Got worse during the day and by Sunday morning, I was limping. Again. My knee just locked up and any slight movement induced pain. Popped a few painkillers but still had trouble doing the most simple of things like putting on the left sock or press on the clutch. Thank God I have a sister who is studying physiotherapy. She reckons it's some tissue tear which sounds about right.

I don't recall missing a game of basketball or rugby during high school. Now, I can't finish a season of Oztag or basketball without missing games through injury. I guess I sorta miss adolescent in that aspect. Maybe I should turn to lawn bowls soon? Or how about croquet?
